DIMED, Brazil's second largest distributor of pharmaceuticals and beauty products, implemented an NeoGrid solution to automate the group's product planning and replenishment, providing better inventory performance and administration, along with improved negotiations among parties.
ACHIEVED RESULTS :
- Stock reduction by 50 percent for low-turn, expiring or low-margin items, which represented excess costs of about R$ 2 million a year;
- Reduction of Mean Absolute Percentage Errors (MAPE) by 19 percent;
- Reduced both over-and understocking, as well as generally reducing inventory throughout the entire supply and demand chain;
- Increased productivity of the sales and planning teams, who are now able to dedicate more time to information analysis and decision making, because less time is required for operational activities.
